                    Whereas the Honourable Joseph C.M. James, a Judge of the Family Court branch of the Superior Court of Justice (Ontario), has become afflicted with a permanent infirmity disabling him from the due execution of his office and has tendered his resignation;

                    Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, hereby

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable Joseph C.M. James; and

(b) pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(c) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Joseph C.M. James an annuity of $146,266.66, commencing on the date of this Order in Council and continuing during his life.

                    Attendu que l’honorable Joseph C.M. James, juge à la Section de la cour de la famille de la Cour supérieure de justice (Ontario), a donné sa démission pour incapacité par suite d’une infirmité permanente,

                    À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable Joseph C.M. James;

b) en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)c) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable Joseph C.M. James une pension viagère de 146 266,66 $, commençant à la date du présent décret.
