                     Whereas the Honourable Calvin F. Tallis, a Judge of the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan, will attain the age of seventy-five years on March 5, 2005, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

                     And whereas Mr. Justice Tallis has held judicial office for at least ten years;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $146,266.66 to the Honourable Calvin F. Tallis, commencing on March 5, 2005 and continuing thenceforth during his life.

                     Attendu que l’honorable Calvin F. Tallis, juge de la Cour d’appel de la Saskatchewan, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 5 mars 2005 et, en conséquence, cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu de l’article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

                     Attendu que le juge Tallis a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

                     À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges,  

Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Calvin F. Tallis, à titre viager, une pension annuelle  

de 146 266,66 $, payable à compter du 5 mars 2005.
