                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 3 of the Department of Justice Act, hereby appoints John H. Sims of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Deputy Minister of Justice, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary at the rate set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range ($180,500 - $212,300), effective December 20, 2004.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l'article 3 de la Loi sur le ministère de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme John H. Sims, d’Ottawa (Ontario), au poste de sous-ministre de la Justice, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement conformément à l'annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l'échelle (180 500 $ - 212 300 $), à compter du 20 décembre 2004.
