              Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 4 of the Patent Act and section 63 of the Trade-marks Act, hereby:

          (a)      re-appoints David Andrew Tobin of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Commissioner of Patents, to hold office during pleasure, for a term of five years;

          (b)      re-appoints David Andrew Tobin to be Registrar of Trade-marks to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years; and

          (c)      fixes his salary at the rate set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range GCQ 7 ($157,300 - $185,000);

effective November 29, 2004.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 4 de la Loi sur les brevets et de l’article 63 de la Loi sur les marques de commerce, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil

          a)       renouvelle le mandat de David Andrew Tobin, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire aux brevets, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans;

          b)       renouvelle le mandat de David Andrew Tobin, registraire des marques de commerce, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans;

          c)       fixe son traitement conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 7 (157 300 $ - 185 000 $);

à compter du 29 novembre 2004.
