                     Whereas the Board of Directors of Export Development Canada has authorized Gilles Ross, an officer of the Corporation, to act as President of the Corporation, effective August 27, 2004;

                     And whereas the person so authorized by the Board may not act as President for a period exceeding sixty days without the approval of the Governor in Council;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for International Trade, pursuant to subsection 8(3) of the Export Development Act, hereby approves the authorization by the Board of Directors of Export Development Canada of Gilles Ross of Gatineau, Quebec, an officer of the Corporation, to act as President of Export Development Canada for a period exceeding sixty days, until such time as a President is appointed.

                     Attendu que le conseil d’administration d’Exportation et développement Canada a chargé Gilles Ross, un dirigeant de la Société, de l’intérim du président de la Société, à compter du 27 août 2004;

                     Attendu que la durée de l’intérim est, sauf prorogation approuvée par la gouverneure en conseil, limitée à soixante jours,

                     À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre du Commerce international et en vertu du paragraphe 8(3) de la Loi sur le développement des exportations, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve la prorogation de la durée de l’intérim de Gilles Ross, de Gatineau (Québec), un dirigeant d’Exportation et de développement Canada chargé par le conseil d’administration de la Société de l’intérim de la présidence de la Société, pour une période dépassant soixante jours, jusqu’à ce qu’un président soit nommé.
