              Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 16 of the Financial Administration Act, hereby appoints Ian Bennett of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Deputy Minister of Finance, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary as set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range ($202,100 - $237,800), effective November 1, 2004.
