                   Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, hereby amends Order in Council P.C. 2004-1028 of September 23, 2004 by replacing paragraph (c) with the following:

 

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Heather Forster Smith as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective September 27, 2004;

 

(c.1) appoints the Honourable Roland Roy McMurtry, Chief Justice of Ontario, to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective September 27, 2004;

 

(c.2) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Roland Roy McMurtry as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective September 28, 2004;

 

(c.3) appoints the Honourable Brian W. Lennox, Chief Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice, to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective September 28, 2004;

 

(c.4) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Brian W. Lennox as Administrator, effective October 1, 2004;


                 Sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l'article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil modifie le décret C.P. 2004-1028 du 23 septembre 2004 en remplaçant l'alinéa c) par ce qui suit :

 

c) met fin à la nomination de l'honorable Heather Forster Smith au poste d'administrateur du gouvernement de l'Ontario, avec prise d'effet le 27 septembre 2004;

 

c.1) nomme l'honorable Roland Roy McMurtry, juge en chef de l'Ontario, à titre d'administrateur du gouvernement de l'Ontario pour qu'il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l'Ontario durant l'absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité du lieutenant-gouverneur, avec prise d'effet le 27 septembre 2004;

 

c.2) met fin à la nomination de l'honorable Roland Roy McMurtry au poste d'administrateur du gouvernement de l'Ontario, avec prise d'effet le 28 septembre 2004;

 

c.3) nomme l'honorable Brian W. Lennox, juge en chef de la Cour de Justice de l'Ontario, à titre d'administrateur du gouvernement de l'Ontario pour qu'il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l'Ontario durant l'absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité du lieutenant-gouverneur, avec prise d'effet le 28 septembre 2004;

 

c.4) met fin à la nomination de l'honorable Brian W. Lennox au poste d'administrateur du gouvernement de l'Ontario, avec prise d'effet le 1er octobre 2004;
