                  Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes that Minister

(a) firstly,

(i) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, the Treaty between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Dominican Republic on the Transfer of Offenders, or

(ii) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Adam Blackwell, Ambassador of Canada to the Dominican Republic, or Marc Lortie, Assistant Deputy Minister (Americas), Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, or Michael Welsh, Director General, Latin America and Caribbean Bureau, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, the Treaty between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Dominican Republic on the Transfer of Offenders; and

(b) secondly, to take the action necessary to bring the Treaty into force for Canada.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) premièrement,

(i) soit à signer, au nom du Canada, un traité entre le Canada et la République Dominicaine sur le transfèrement des délinquants,

(ii) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Adam Blackwell, ambassadeur du Canada auprès de la République Dominicaine, Marc Lortie, sous-ministre adjoint (Amériques), ministère des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce international, ou Michael Welsh, directeur général, Direction générale des Antilles et de l’Amérique latine, à signer ce traité, au nom du Canada;

b) deuxièmement, à prendre les mesures nécessaires à l’entrée en vigueur de ce traité pour le Canada.
