                     Whereas, pursuant to subsection 5(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration caused a copy of the proposed Regulations Amending the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, substantially in the form set out in the annexed Regulations, to be laid before each House of Parliament;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, the Solicitor General of Canada and the Treasury Board, pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and paragraphs 19(1)(a) and 19.1(a) of the Financial Administration Act and, considering that it is in the public interest to do so, subsection 23(2.1) of that Act, hereby makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.

                     Attendu que le ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration, conformément au paragraphe 5(2) de la Loi sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés, a fait déposer le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés, conforme en substance au texte ci-après, devant chaque chambre du Parlement,

                     À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration, de la solliciteure générale du Canada et du Conseil du Trésor et en vertu du paragraphe 5(1) de la Loi sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés et des alinéas 19(1)a) et 19.1a) et du paragraphe 23(2.1) de la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil, estimant, aux termes de cette dernière disposition, que l’intérêt public le justifie, prend le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés, ci-après.
