Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to sections 5 and 6 of the Canada Council for the Arts Act, hereby appoints John Hobday of Senneville, Quebec, to be Director of the Canada Council for the Arts to hold office during pleasure for a term of three years, and fixes his salary at the rate set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range GRP 5 ($154,900 - $182,200), effective January 20, 2003.

Sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu des articles 5 and 6 de la Loi sur le Conseil des Arts du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme John Hobday, de Senneville (Québec), directeur du Conseil des Arts du Canada, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de trois ans, et fixe son traitement au taux spécifié à l'annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l'échelle GRP 5 (154 900 $ - 182 200 $), à compter du 20 janvier 2003.
