                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to the definition “Minister” in section 2 of the Library and Archives of Canada Act, assented to on April 22, 2004, being chapter 11 of the Statutes of Canada, 2004, hereby designates the Minister of Canadian Heritage, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of that Act, effective May 21, 2004.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de la définition de « ministre » à l’article 2 de la Loi sur la Bibliothèque et les Archives du Canada, sanctionnée le 22 avril 2004, chapitre 11 des Lois du Canada (2004), Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil charge, à compter du 21 mai 2004, la ministre du Patrimoine canadien, membre du Conseil privé de la Reine pour le Canada, de l’application de cette loi.
