                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to subsection 4(5) of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service Act, hereby appoints Dale Neufeld of Ottawa, Ontario, to act as Director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, to hold office during pleasure until such time as a Director is appointed, for a term not exceeding six months, and fixes his salary and other conditions of employment as set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range ($157, 000 - $184,700), effective May 31, 2004.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu du paragraphe 4(5) de la Loi sur le Service canadien du renseignement de sécurité, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Dale Neufeld, d’Ottawa (Ontario), directeur intérimaire du Service canadien du renseignement de sécurité, à titre amovible jusqu’à la nomination d’un directeur, pour un mandat maximal de six mois, et fixe son traitement et ses autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l'annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l'échelle (157 000 $ - 184 700 $), à compter du 31 mai 2004.
