                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to subsection 112(1) of the Public Safety Act, 2002 (“the Act”), assented to on May 6, 2004, being chapter 15 of the Statutes of Canada, 2004, hereby fixes May 11, 2004 as the day on which the following provisions come into force:

(a) sections 24, 25, 95, 96, 98 and 107 of the Act;

(b) Part I of the Act, except for section 4.82 of the Aeronautics Act, as enacted by section 5 of the Act; and

(c) paragraph 8.1(1)(c) and subsections 8.1(2) to (7) of the Canada Shipping Act, as enacted by section 104 of the Act.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu du paragraphe 112(1) de la Loi de 2002 sur la sécurité publique, (« la Loi »), sanctionnée le 6 mai 2004, chapitre 15 des Lois du Canada (2004), Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil fixe au 11 mai 2004 la date d’entrée en vigueur des dispositions suivantes :

a) les articles 24, 25, 95, 96, 98 et 107 de la Loi;

b) la partie I de la Loi, sauf l’article 4.82 de la Loi sur l’aéronautique, édictée par l’article 5 de la Loi;

c) l’alinéa 8.1(1)c) et les paragraphes 8.1(2) à (7) de la Loi sur la marine marchande du Canada, édictés par l’article 104 de la Loi.
