                     Whereas the Honourable W. Scott Wright, a Judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Manitoba, who has continued in judicial office for at least fifteen years, has tendered his resignation effective May 1, 2004, and as of this date his combined age and number of years in judicial office is not less than eighty;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, hereby accepts the resignation of the Honourable W. Scott Wright and, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(a) of the Judges Act, grants him an annuity of $146,266.66 commencing on May 1, 2004, and continuing thenceforth during his life.

                     Attendu que l’honorable W. Scott Wright, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine du Manitoba, après avoir exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins quinze ans, a donné sa démission, laquelle prend effet le 1^er mai 2004, et qu’à cette date, le chiffre obtenu par l’addition de son âge et du nombre d’années d’exercice est d’au moins quatre-vingt,

                     À ces causes, sur recommendation du ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil  

accepte la démission de l’honorable W. Scott Wright et, en vertu  

de l’alinéa 42(1)a) de la Loi sur les juges, lui accorde à titre viager  

une pension annuelle de 146 266,66 $, payable à compter  

du 1^er mai 2004.
