Whereas the Laurentian Pilotage Authority, pursuant to subsection 34(1) of the Pilotage Act, published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on July 6, 2002, a copy of the proposed Regulations Amending the Laurentian Pilotage Tariff Regulations;



Whereas three notices of objection to the proposed Regulations were filed with the Canadian Transportation Agency, and the Agency, pursuant to subsection 34(4) of that Act, has investigated the proposed charges and, pursuant to subsection 35(1) of that Act, made, in its Decision No. 645-W-2002 dated November 29, 2002, a recommendation to the Laurentian Pilotage Authority;



And whereas the Laurentian Pilotage Authority, by resolution of December 5, 2002, made the Regulations in accordance with the recommendation of the Canadian Transportation Agency;



Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to subsection 33(1) of the Pilotage Act, hereby approves the annexed Regulations Amending the Laurentian Pilotage Tariff Regulations.

Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 34(1) de la Loi sur le pilotage, l'Administration de pilotage des Laurentides a fait publier dans la Gazette du Canada Partie I, le 6 juillet 2002, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les tarifs de pilotage des Laurentides;



Attendu que trois avis d'opposition au projet de règlement ont été déposés auprès de l'Office des transports du Canada et que celui-ci a, en vertu du paragraphe 34(4) de cette loi, fait enquête sur les droits proposés et a, en vertu du paragraphe 35(1) de cette loi, fait dans sa décision no 645-W-2002 du 29 novembre 2002, une recommandation à ce sujet à l'Administration de pilotage des Laurentides;



Attendu que l'Administration de pilotage des Laurentides, en vertu d'une résolution en date du 5 décembre 2002, a pris le règlement conformément à la recommandation de l'Office,



À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu du paragraphe 33(1) de la Loi sur le pilotage, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les tarifs de pilotage des Laurentides, ci-après.
