Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 3 of the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Act, hereby appoints Leonard J. Edwards of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary at the rate set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range ($180,500 - $212,300), effective May 10, 2004.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 3 de la Loi sur le ministère de l'Agriculture et de l'Agroalimentaire, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Leonard J. Edwards, d’Ottawa (Ontario), au poste de sous-ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement conformément à l'annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l'échelle (180 500 $ - 212 300 $), à compter du 10 mai 2004.
