                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of State styled Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister responsible for Democratic Reform, pursuant to subsection 24(1) of the Canada Elections Act, hereby appoints Randy Kerr, 615 Rednersville Road, R.R. #1, Belleville, Ontario, to be the Returning Officer for the electoral district of Prince Edward–Hastings, as established in the Representation Order proclaimed on January 8, 1996.
