                 Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes that Minister

(a) firstly,

(i) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, an exchange of notes between the Government of Canada and the Government of the State of Kuwait constituting an agreement concerning the status of Canadian Forces in Kuwait, or

(ii) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Richard Mann, Ambassador of Canada to the State of Kuwait, or George G. Sanderson, Counsellor, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, an exchange of notes between the Government of Canada and the Government of the State of Kuwait constituting an agreement concerning the status of Canadian Forces in Kuwait; and

(b) secondly, to take the action necessary to bring the agreement into force for Canada.

                Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise le ministre des Affaires étrangères :

a) premièrement,

(i) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, un échange de notes entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement de l’État du Koweït constituant un accord concernant le statut des Forces canadiennes au Koweït,

(ii) soit à établir et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Richard Mann, ambassadeur du Canada auprès de l’État du Koweït, ou George G. Sanderson, conseiller, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, un échange de notes entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement de l’État du Koweït constituant un accord concernant le statut des Forces canadiennes au Koweït;

b) deuxièmement, à prendre les mesures nécessaires à l’entrée en vigueur de l’accord pour le Canada.
