                     The Committee of the Privy Council have had before them a report representing that a vacancy has occurred in the representation in the House of Commons for the electoral district of

Ottawa Centre, in the Province of Ontario, by reason of the resignation of Mr. Mac Harb.

                     Therefore, the Committee of the Privy Council advise that a writ issue for the election of a Member to the House of Commons for the said electoral district, to be dated March 7, 2004, and that the polling be on November 29, 2004.

                     Le Comité du Conseil privé a reçu un rapport portant qu’il existe une vacance à la Chambre des communes pour la circonscription électorale de Ottawa-Centre, dans la province d’Ontario en raison de la démission de monsieur Mac Harb.

                     À ces causes, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande qu’un bref d’élection, daté du 7 mars 2004, soit délivré en vue de combler la vacance à la Chambre des communes pour cette circonscription électorale et que le scrutin se tienne le 29 novembre 2004.
