                 Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, hereby transfers from the Department of Transport to the Department of the Environment the control and supervision of that portion of the public service in the Department of Transport, known as the Crown Corporation Secretariat, relating to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Canada Lands Company Limited and Queens Quay West Land Corporation, effective January 24, 2004.

                 Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’alinéa 2a) de la Loi sur les restructurations et les transferts d’attributions dans l’administration publique, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil transfère du ministère des Transports au ministère de l’Environnement la responsabilité à l’égard du secteur de l’administration publique connu, au sein du ministère des Transports, sous le nom de Secrétariat des sociétés d’État, en ce qui a trait à la Société canadienne d’hypothèques et de logement, à la Société immobilière du Canada limitée et à la Queens Quay West Land Corporation.

Le transfert prend effet le 24 janvier 2004.
