                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to the Special Appointment Regulations, No. 2003-23, hereby appoints Jonathan Fried of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister and Head, Canada-United States Secretariat, Privy Council Office, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary and other employment conditions as set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range ($157,000 - $184,700), effective December 12, 2003.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu du Règlement n° 2003-23 portant affectation spéciale, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Jonathan Fried, d’Ottawa (Ontario), au poste de conseiller principal des politiques étrangères auprès du premier ministre et chef, Secrétariat Canada - États-Unis, Bureau du Conseil privé, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi, conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (157 000 $ - 184 700 $), à compter du 12 décembre 2003.
