Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, under sections 45.29 and 45.3 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, reappoints the Honourable W. Brent Cotter, S.O.M, K.C., of Halifax, Nova Scotia, as Chairperson of the Civilian Review and Complaints Commission for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, on an interim basis, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of six months, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule which salary is within the range GCQ 6 ($225,300 - $265,000), effective October 15, 2026.

Sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile, en vertu des articles 45.29 et 45.3 de la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil renouvelle le mandat de l’honorable W. Brent Cotter, S.O.M., c.r., d’Halifax (Nouvelle-Écosse), président de la Commission civile d’examen et de traitement des plaintes relatives à la Gendarmerie royale du Canada par intérim, à titre inamovible pour une période de six mois, et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 6 (225 300 $ – 265 000 $), à compter du 15 octobre 2026.
