Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that it is in the public interest to do so, on the recommendation of the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and the Treasury Board, pursuant to subsection 23(2.1) of the Financial Administration Act, remits the following amounts:

(a) to Liard First Nation, the amount of $14,897,877.24, representing the principal and interest amounts with respect to its previously-written-off support loans for comprehensive land claim negotiations; and

(b) to Ross River Dena Council, the amount of $10,740,817.63, representing the principal and interest amounts with respect to its previously‑written-off support loans for comprehensive land claim negotiations.

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Relations Couronne-Autochtones et du Conseil du Trésor et en vertu du paragraphe 23(2.1) de la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil, estimant que l’intérêt public le justifie, fait remise :

a) à la Première Nation Liard, de la somme de 14 897 877,24 $ équivalent au principal et aux intérêts à l’égard des prêts consentis pour appuyer les négociations de la revendication territoriale globale, lesquels ont ensuite été radiés;

b) au Conseil déné Ross River, de la somme de 10 740 817,63 $, équivalent au principal et aux intérêts à l’égard des prêts consentis pour appuyer les négociations de la revendication territoriale globale, lesquels ont ensuite été radiés.
