Her Excellency the Governor General in Council:

(a) on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under paragraph 127.1(1)(a) of the Public Service Employment Act, appoints the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, P.C., of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Senior Advisor, Global Affairs Canada, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($285,300 - $335,600), effective June 22, 2026; and

(b) on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, appoints the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, P.C., to be concurrently Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the European Union, in Brussels, effective June 23, 2026.

Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) sur recommandation du premier ministre, en vertu de l’alinéa 127.1(1)a) de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique, nomme l’honorable Jonathan Wilkinson, C.P., d’Ottawa (Ontario), conseiller supérieur, Affaires mondiales Canada, à titre amovible, et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (285 300 $ – 335 600 $), à compter du 22 juin 2026;

b) sur recommandation de la ministre des Affaires étrangères, nomme l’honorable Jonathan Wilkinson, C.P., en qualité d’ambassadeur extraordinaire et plénipotentiaire du Canada auprès de l’Union européenne, à Bruxelles, à compter du 23 juin 2026.
