Whereas the Governor in Council, under subsection 91(6) of the Financial Administration Act, is satisfied that the Canada Lands Company Limited, a parent Crown corporation, is empowered to undertake the transactions referred to in this Order;
Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities,
(a) under paragraph 91(1)(a) of the Financial Administration Act, authorizes Canada Lands Company Limited to procure the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary that has yet to be named to carry out activities and perform functions in support of the mandate of Canada Lands Company Limited, including with respect to the CN Tower, all the shares of which, on incorporation, would be held by, on behalf of or in trust for the Canada Lands Company Limited; and
(b) under paragraph 91(1)(b) of the Financial Administration Act, authorizes Canada Lands Company Limited to acquire shares of the wholly-owned subsidiary that, on acquisition, would be held by, on behalf of or in trust for the Canada Lands Company Limited.
a) à constituer, en vertu de l’alinéa 91(1)a) de la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques, une filiale à cent pour cent qui reste à nommer, afin que celle-ci exerce des activités et des fonctions à l’appui du mandat de la Société immobilière du Canada Limitée, y compris à l’égard de la Tour CN, et dont toutes les actions, lors de la constitution, seraient détenues par la Société immobilière du Canada Limitée, en son nom ou en fiducie pour elle;
