Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and the Minister of Justice, under subsection 204(4) of the Criminal Code, effective July 1, 2026,

(a) repeals the Pari-Mutuel Payments Order, SI/83-72, made by Order in Council P.C. 1983-846 of March 24, 1983; and

(b) for the purposes of subsection 204(4) of the Criminal Code, fixes at 1% the fraction of the total amount of money bet that is to be paid to the Receiver General.

Sur recommandation du ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire et du ministre de la Justice et en vertu du paragraphe 204(4) du Code criminel, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) abroge le Décret sur les cotisations à payer pour la surveillance du pari mutuel, TR/83-72, pris par le décret C.P. 1983-846 du 24 mars 1983;

b) pour l’application du paragraphe 204(4) du Code criminel, fixe à un pour cent le pourcentage du total des mises à payer au receveur général.

Ces mesures prennent effet le 1^er juillet 2026.
