Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, under sections 45.29 and 45.3 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, appoints the Honourable W. Brent Cotter, S.O.M., K.C., of Halifax, Nova Scotia, to be Chairperson of the Civilian Review and Complaints Commission for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, on an interim basis, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of six months, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GCQ 6 ($225,300 - $265,000), effective April 15, 2026.

Brent Cotter, S.O.M., c.r., d’Halifax (Nouvelle-Écosse), président de la Commission civile d’examen et de traitement des plaintes relatives à la Gendarmerie royale du Canada par intérim, à titre inamovible pour un mandat de six mois, et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 6 (225 300 $ - 265 000 $), à compter du 15 avril 2026.
