Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, under section 3 and subsections 5(1) and 7(1) of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Act,

(a) appoints Normand Labrie of Toronto, Ontario, who is a member of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, to be interim President of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, on a part-time basis, to hold office during pleasure for a term of one year or until such time as a new President is appointed, whichever occurs first; and

(b) fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which per diem rate is within the range ($1,485 - $1,745);

and, at the end of the term set out in paragraph (a), Normand Labrie remains a member of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council until July 6, 2027, in accordance with Order in Council P.C. 2024-298 of April 12, 2024.

Sur recommandation de la ministre de l’Industrie, en vertu de l’article 3 et des paragraphes 5(1) et 7(1) de la Loi sur le Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil,

a) nomme Normand Labrie, de Toronto (Ontario), un conseiller du Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines, en tant que président par intérim du Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines, à temps partiel et à titre amovible pour un mandat d’un an ou jusqu’à ce qu’un nouveau président soit nommé, selon la première de ces éventualités;

b) fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel taux journalier se situe dans l’échelle (1 485 $ - 1 745 $);

et, à la fin du mandat prévu au paragraphe a), Normand Labrie demeure un conseiller du Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines, jusqu’au 6 juillet 2027, conformément au décret C.P. 2024-298 du 12 avril 2024.
