Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 7 of the National Defence Act, hereby appoints Ward Elcock, of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Deputy Minister of National Defence, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary at the rate set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range ($180,500 - $212,300).
