Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, under subsection 5(1) of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Act and subsection 8(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, approves that the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration enter into the Canada–Ontario Immigration Agreement with Ontario, substantially in the annexed form, which provides that the Agreement will be valid for a period of five years beginning on the day on which it is signed by the last of the signatories to do so.

Sur recommandation de la ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration et en vertu du paragraphe 5(1) de la Loi sur le ministère de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration et du paragraphe 8(1) de la Loi sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil agrée la conclusion par la ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration, avec l’Ontario, d’un accord conforme en substance à l’Accord Canada-Ontario sur l’immigration ci-joint, lequel accord dispose qu’il sera valide pour une période de cinq ans à compter de la date où la dernière partie à le signer y appose sa signature.
