Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes

(a) the Prime Minister or the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines concerning the Status of Visiting Forces of Each State in the Territory of the Other State; or

(b) the Minister of Foreign Affairs to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing David Joseph McGuinty, Minister of National Defence; Stefanie Beck, Deputy Minister of National Defence; Jennie Carignan, Chief of the Defence Staff; David Morrison, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; or David Hartman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the Republic of the Philippines, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines concerning the Status of Visiting Forces of Each State in the Territory of the Other State.

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise :

a) soit le premier ministre ou la ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le Gouvernement du Canada et le Gouvernement de la République des Philippines concernant le statut des forces en visite de chaque État sur le territoire de l’autre État;

b) soit la ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant David Joseph McGuinty, ministre de la Défense nationale, Stefanie Beck, sous-ministre de la Défense nationale, Jennie Carignan, chef d’état-majeur de la Défense, David Morrison, sous-ministre des Affaires étrangères, ou David Hartman, ambassadeur extraordinaire et plénipotentiaire du Canada auprès de la République des Philippines, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le Gouvernement du Canada et le Gouvernement de la République des Philippines concernant le statut des forces en visite de chaque État sur le territoire de l’autre État.
