                Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport and the Treasury Board, hereby authorizes the Minister of Transport to make an ex gratia payment to Air Canada in an amount of up to six million dollars ($6,000,000), in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the annexed schedule, to assist in defraying the net losses resulting from the suspension of Air Canada’s Montréal to Beirut licence, including the net incremental costs of accommodating affected passengers.

                Sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et du Conseil du Trésor, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise le ministre des Transports à faire un paiement à titre gracieux à Air Canada d’un montant maximal de six millions de dollars (6 000 000 $), conformément aux conditions figurant à l’annexe ci-jointe, afin de compenser les pertes nettes découlant de la suspension de la licence d’exploitation de services d’Air Canada entre Montréal et Beyrouth, y compris celles qui résultent des coûts supplémentaires nets supportés pour accommoder les passagers lésés.
