Whereas the Honourable Deborah L. Chappel, a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, Family Court branch, has tendered her resignation for the reason set out in paragraph 42(1.1)(b) of the Judges Act;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice.

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable Deborah L. Chappel; and

(b) under paragraph 42(1.1) (b) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Deborah L. Chappel an annuity of $276,600, commencing on the day on which this Order is made and continuing during her life

Attendu que l’honorable Deborah L. Chappel, juge de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario, Cour de la famille, a donné sa démission pour le motif prévu à l’alinéa 42(1.1)b) de la Loi sur les juges,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable Deborah L. Chappel;

b) en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1.1)b) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable Deborah L. Chappel, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 276 600 $ payable à compter de la date du présent décret.
