Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, under sections 6.4 and 6.5 of the Royal Canadian Mint Act, authorizes the issue of two two‑dollar circulation coins, the characteristics of which are to be as specified in item 1.1 of Part 2 of the schedule to that Act and the diameter of which is to be 28.03 mm, and determines the designs of the coins to be as follows:

(a) a coloured two-dollar coin

(i) the obverse impression of which is to depict, on the inner core of the coin, the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Steven Rosati, with the initials “SR” at the bottom right of the effigy on the lapel; on the outer ring, the inscriptions “CHARLES III” and “D·G·REX” to the left and right of the effigy, respectively; and, centred at the bottom of the outer ring, the inscription “2025”,

(ii) the reverse impression of which is to depict,

(A) on the inner core of the coin, an adaptation of Folk Singer by Daphne Odjig in white, yellow, brown, blue and black layered over a pattern of hash marks, and

(B) on the outer ring of the coin, two virtual images of a maple leaf between two slanted lines centred at the top; a fisher from The Indian in Transition by Daphne Odjig between the inscriptions “DAPHNE” and “ODJIG” on the left of the ring; the inscriptions “CANADA” and “2 DOLLARS” on the right of the ring; and two security marks each consisting of a maple leaf within another maple leaf within a circle at the bottom of the ring, and

(iii) the edge of which is to show the inscriptions “CANADA” and “2 DOLLARS”, with a maple leaf before and after the inscription “CANADA”; and

(b) a two-dollar coin

(i) the obverse impression of which is to depict, on the inner core of the coin, the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Steven Rosati, with the initials “SR” at the bottom right of the effigy on the lapel; on the outer ring, the inscriptions “CHARLES III” and “D·G·REX” to the left and right of the effigy, respectively; and, centred at the bottom of the outer ring, the inscription “2025”,

(ii) the reverse impression of which is to depict,

(A) on the inner core of the coin, an adaptation of Folk Singer by Daphne Odjig, and

(B) on the outer ring of the coin, two virtual images of a maple leaf between two slanted lines centred at the top; a fisher from The Indian in Transition by Daphne Odjig between the inscriptions “DAPHNE” and “ODJIG” on the left of the ring; the inscriptions “CANADA” and “2 DOLLARS” on the right of the ring; and two security marks each consisting of a maple leaf within another maple leaf within a circle at the bottom of the ring, and

(iii) the edge of which is to show the inscriptions “CANADA” and “2 DOLLARS”, with a maple leaf before and after the inscription “CANADA”.

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Finances et en vertu des articles 6.4 et 6.5 de la Loi sur la Monnaie royale canadienne, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise l’émission de deux pièces de monnaie de circulation de deux dollars dont les caractéristiques sont précisées à l’article 1.1 de la partie 2 de l’annexe de cette loi, dont le diamètre est de 28,03 mm et dont les dessins sont fixés de la manière suivante :

a) une pièce colorée de deux dollars sur laquelle :

(i) à l’avers sont gravées, sur la partie centrale de la pièce, l’effigie de Sa Majesté le roi Charles III réalisée par Steven Rosati, les initiales « SR » dans la partie inférieure droite de l’effigie sur le revers du veston et, sur l’anneau extérieur, les inscriptions « CHARLES III » et « D·G·REX », respectivement à gauche et à droite de l’effigie, et, centrée sur la partie inférieure de l’anneau extérieur, l’inscription « 2025 »,

(ii) au revers sont illustrés ou gravés, selon le cas :

(A) sur la partie centrale de la pièce, superposée à un motif de hachures, une adaptation de l’œuvre Folk Singer de Daphne Odjig colorée en blanc, jaune, brun, bleu et noir,

(B) sur l’anneau extérieur de la pièce, au centre de la partie supérieure, deux images virtuelles d’une feuille d’érable entre deux lignes obliques; du côté gauche de l’anneau, un pékan issu de l’œuvre The Indian in Transition de Daphne Odjig entre les inscriptions « DAPHNE » et « ODJIG »; du côté droit de l’anneau, les inscriptions « CANADA » et « 2 DOLLARS »; et, au bas de l’anneau, deux marques de sécurité, chacune composée d’une feuille d’érable à l’intérieur d’une autre feuille d’érable à l’intérieur d’un cercle,

(iii) sur la tranche sont gravées les inscriptions « CANADA » et « 2 DOLLARS », l’inscription « CANADA » étant précédée et suivie d’une feuille d’érable;

b) une pièce de deux dollars sur laquelle :

(i) à l’avers sont gravées, sur la partie centrale de la pièce, l’effigie de Sa Majesté le roi Charles III réalisée par Steven Rosati, les initiales « SR » dans la partie inférieure droite de l’effigie sur le revers du veston et, sur l’anneau extérieur, les inscriptions « CHARLES III » et « D·G·REX », respectivement à gauche et à droite de l’effigie, et centrée sur la partie inférieure de l’anneau extérieur, l’inscription « 2025 »,

(ii) au revers sont gravés :
