Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under subsection 49(4) of the Official Languages Act, appoints Raymond Théberge of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Commissioner of Official Languages for Canada, on an interim basis, to hold office for a term of six months, or until such time as a new Commissioner is appointed, whichever occurs first, and fixes his salary at an amount to be equal to that of a judge of the Federal Court, other than the Chief Justice of that Court, as amended from time to time, effective January 29, 2025.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre, en vertu du paragraphe 49(4) de la Loi sur les langues officielles, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Raymond Théberge, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire aux langues officielles du Canada par intérim, pour un mandat de six mois, ou jusqu’à ce qu’un nouveau commissaire soit nommé, selon la première de ces éventualités, et fixe son traitement, lequel sera l’équivalent de celui d’un juge de la Cour fédérale autre que le juge en chef, modifié de temps à autre, à compter du 29 janvier 2025.
