                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, pursuant to section 7 of the Competition Act, hereby appoints Sheridan Scott of Ottawa, Ontario, as Commissioner of Competition, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of five years, and fixes her remuneration and other employment conditions as set out in the schedule hereto, which remuneration is within the range GCQ 9 ($207,900 - $244,600), effective January 12, 2004.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre de l'Industrie et en vertu de l’article 7 de la Loi sur la concurrence, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Sheridan Scott, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire de la concurrence, à titre inamovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans, et fixe sa rémunération et autres conditions d’emploi onformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, laquelle rémunération se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 9 (207 900 $ - 244 600 $), à compter du 12 janvier 2004.
