Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under section 3 of the Department of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Act, appoints Tricia Geddes of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Deputy Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, to be styled Deputy Minister of Public Safety, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes her remuneration as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($279,700 - $329,000), effective October 31, 2024.
