Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under section 7 of the International Boundary Waters Treaty Act and Article VII of the Schedule of that Act;

(a) appoints Pierre Baril of Montréal, Quebec, to be Commissioner of the International Joint Commission, to hold office during pleasure for a term of four years,

(b) designates Pierre Baril of Montréal, Quebec to be Chairperson of the International Joint Commission; and

(c) fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GCQ 7 ($254,000 - $298,800);

effective June 24, 2024.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre, en vertu de l’article 7 et de l’Article VII de l’Annexe de la Loi du traité des eaux limitrophes internationales, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil:

a) nomme Pierre Baril, de Montréal (Québec), commissaire de la Commission mixte internationale, à titre amovible pour un mandat de quatre ans;

b) désigne Pierre Baril, de Montréal (Québec) à titre de président de la Commission mixte internationale;

c) fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 7 (254 000 $ – 298 800 $);

à compter du 24 juin 2024.
