Whereas the Honourable Philippe H. Bélanger, a Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec for the district of Montréal, has tendered his resignation for the reason set out in paragraph 42(1.1)(b) of the Judges Act;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice.

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable Philippe H. Bélanger; and

(b) under paragraph 42(1.1) (b) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Philippe H. Bélanger an annuity of $264,466.66, commencing on the day on which this Order is made and continuing during his life

Attendu que l’honorable Philippe H. Bélanger, juge de la Cour supérieure du Québec pour le district de Montréal, a donné sa démission pour le motif prévu à l’alinéa 42(1.1)b) de la Loi sur les juges,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable Philippe H. Bélanger;

b) en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1.1)b) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable Philippe H. Bélanger, une pension annuelle viagère de 264 466,66 $ payable à compter de la date de prise du présent décret.
