Whereas, under subsection 154(1) of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act, a copy of the proposed Canada — Nova Scotia Offshore Area Petroleum Operations Framework Regulations, substantially in the annexed form, was published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on June 18, 2022, and a reasonable opportunity was afforded to interested persons to make representations to the Minister of Natural Resources with respect to the proposed Regulations;
And whereas, under subsection 6 (1) of that Act, the Minister of Natural Resources consulted the Provincial Minister for Nova Scotia with respect to the proposed Regulations and that minister approved the making of those Regulations;
Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources and the Minister of the Environment, makes the annexed Canada — Nova Scotia Offshore Area Petroleum Operations Framework Regulations under section 153 of the Canada — Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act.
Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 154(1) de la Loi de mise en œuvre de l’Accord Canada — Nouvelle-Écosse sur les hydrocarbures extracôtiers, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement-cadre sur les opérations relatives aux hydrocarbures dans la zone extracôtière Canada — Nouvelle-Écosse, conforme en substance au texte ci-après, a été publié dans la Partie I de la Gazette du Canada le 18 juin 2022 et que les intéressés ont ainsi eu la possibilité de présenter leurs observations à cet égard au ministre des Ressources naturelles;
Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 6(1) de cette loi, le ministre des Ressources naturelles a consulté le ministre provincial de la Nouvelle-Écosse au sujet du projet de règlement et que ce dernier a donné son approbation à la prise de ce règlement,
À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Ressources naturelles et du ministre de l’Environnement et en vertu de l’article 153 de la Loi de mise en œuvre de l’Accord Canada — Nouvelle-Écosse sur les hydrocarbures extracôtiers, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil prend le Règlement-cadre sur les opérations relatives aux hydrocarbures dans la zone extracôtière Canada — Nouvelle-Écosse, ci- après.
