Whereas, under subsection 150(1) of the Canada–Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Act, a copy of the proposed Canada–Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area Petroleum Operations Framework Regulations, substantially in the annexed form, was published in the Canada Gazette , Part I, on June 18, 2022 and a reasonable opportunity was afforded to interested persons to make representations to the Minister of Natural Resources with respect to the proposed Regulations;
And whereas, under subsection 7(1) of that Act, the Minister of Natural Resources consulted the Provincial Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador with respect to the proposed Regulations and that minister approved the making of those Regulations;
Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources and the Minister of the Environment, makes the annexed Canada–Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area Petroleum Operations Framework Regulations under section 149 of the Canada–Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Act

Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 150(1) de la Loi de mise en œuvre de l’Accord atlantique Canada — Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement-cadre sur les opérations relatives aux hydrocarbures dans la zone extracôtière Canada — Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, conforme en substance au texte ci-après, a été publié dans la Partie I de la Gazette du Canada le 18 juin 2022 et que les intéressés ont ainsi eu la possibilité de présenter leurs observations à cet égard au ministre des Ressources naturelles;
Attendu que, en application du paragraphe 7(1) de cette loi, le ministre des Ressources naturelles a consulté le ministre provincial de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador au sujet du projet de règlement et que ce dernier a donné son approbation à la prise du règlement,
À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Ressources naturelles et du ministre de l’Environnement et en vertu de l’article 149 de la Loi de mise en œuvre de l’Accord atlantique Canada-Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil prend le Règlement-cadre sur les opérations relatives aux hydrocarbures dans la zone extracôtière Canada — Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, ci-après.
