Whereas as the office of the President of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission is vacant;

Whereas the Commission has designated Timothy Berube of Thunder Bay, Ontario, to act as President of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission;

And whereas no person may be so designated for a period exceeding ninety days without the approval of the Governor in Council;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources, under subsection 12(2) of the Nuclear Safety and Control Act approves the designation of Timothy Berube of Thunder Bay, Ontario, to act as President of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, to hold office during pleasure for a term ending on March 29, 2024, or until such time as a new President is designated, whichever occurs first.

Attendu que le poste de président de la Commission canadienne de sûreté nucléaire est vacant;

Attendu que la Commission canadienne de sûreté nucléaire a désigné Timothy Berube, de Thunder Bay (Ontario) en tant que président par intérim de la Commission canadienne de sûreté nucléaire;

Attendu que la désignation à cette fin est limitée à quatre-vingt-dix jours sans l’approbation du gouverneur en conseil,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Ressources naturelles et en vertu du paragraphe 12(2) de la Loi sur la sûreté et la réglementation nucléaires, son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve la désignation de Timothy Berube, de Thunder Bay (Ontario) en tant que président par intérim de la Commission canadienne de sûreté nucléaire, à titre amovible pour un mandat se terminant le 29 mars 2024 ou jusqu’à ce qu’un nouveau président soit désigné, selon la première de ces éventualités.
