Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes

(a) the Prime Minister or the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign, on behalf of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between Canada and the Square Kilometre Array Observatory Concerning the Accession of Canada to the Convention Establishing the Square Kilometre Array Observatory; or

(b) the Minister of Foreign Affairs to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Industry; Ralph Goodale, High Commissioner for Canada in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; Iain Stewart, President, National Research Council of Canada; or Geneviève Tanguay, Vice-President, Emerging Technologies, National Research Council of Canada, to sign, on behalf of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between Canada and the Square Kilometre Array Observatory Concerning the Accession of Canada to the Convention Establishing the Square Kilometre Array Observatory.

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise :

a) soit le premier ministre ou la ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer, au nom du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le Canada et le Square Kilometre Array Observatory concernant l’adhésion du Canada à la Convention portant création du Square Kilometre Array Observatory;

b) soit la ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant François-Philippe Champagne, ministre de l’Industrie, Ralph Goodale, haut-commissaire du Canada au Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d’Irlande du Nord, Iain Stewart, président, Conseil national de recherches du Canada, ou Geneviève Tanguay, vice-présidente, Technologies émergentes, Conseil national de recherches du Canada, à signer, au nom du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le Canada et le Square Kilometre Array Observatory concernant l’adhésion du Canada à la Convention portant création du Square Kilometre Array Observatory.
