Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, appoints Joseph Dunn to be Honorary Consul of Canada in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States of America, to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years, and fixes his honorarium at the rate set out in the annexed schedule, which honorarium is within the range ($18,000 - $27,000), such appointment to be terminated by either the Minister of Foreign Affairs or Joseph Dunn, giving the other party a sixty-day written notice.
