Whereas the Chief Justice of the Federal Court granted to Kathleen Marie Ring, an Associate Judge of that Court, leave of absence from her judicial duties for a period of six months, from November 7, 2022 to May 6, 2023;

And whereas Kathleen Marie Ring has requested through the Chief Justice of the Federal Court, a further leave of absence until November 6, 2023;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, under paragraph 54(1)(b) of the Judges Act, approves of a leave of absence being granted to Kathleen Marie Ring from her judicial duties from May 7, 2023 until November 6, 2023.

Attendu que le juge en chef de la Cour fédérale a autorisé Kathleen Marie Ring, juge adjointe de cette cour, à s'absenter de ses fonctions judiciaires pendant une période de six mois, soit du 7 novembre 2022 au 6 mai 2023;

Attendu que Kathleen Marie Ring a demandé, par l’entremise du juge en chef de la Cour fédérale, la permission de prolonger son absence jusqu’au 6 novembre 2023,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l'alinéa 54(1)b) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise Kathleen Marie Ring à s’absenter de ses fonctions judiciaires du 7 mai 2023 au 6 novembre 2023.
