The Committee of the Privy Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, advises that, under section 34 of the Constitution Act, 1867, Your Excellency may be pleased, by instrument under the Great Seal of Canada, to appoint the Honourable Raymonde Gagné, C.M., O.M., a Member of the Senate, to be Speaker of the Senate, effective May 12, 2023.
Sur recommandation du premier ministre, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande que, en vertu de l’article 34 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, il plaise à Votre Excellence, par instrument sous le grand sceau du Canada, de nommer l’honorable sénatrice Raymonde Gagné, C.M., O.M., présidente du Sénat, à compter du 12 mai 2023.
