Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, under sections 5 and 6 of the Canada Council for the Arts Act, appoints Michelle Chawla of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Director of the Canada Council for the Arts, to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years, and fixes her remuneration and certain conditions of employment, as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range CEO 4 ($244,800 - $287, 900), effective June 26, 2023.
