Whereas the Cree community, the majority of the members of which live at South Indian Lake in Manitoba, has, by Ministerial Order, been recognized by Canada as a band within the meaning of the Indian Act, under the name O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation;

And whereas Canada agreed to use its best efforts to set apart for the use and benefit of the O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation certain lands offered by Manitoba, upon such lands being transferred to, and accepted by, Canada;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indigenous Services, extends the authority granted to the Minister of Indigenous Services to make program and service expenditures for the O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation at South Indian Lake, as if that community was on reserve lands, until the earlier of the date on which the lands at South Indian Lake are set apart as reserve lands and March 31, 2033.

Attendu que la communauté crie dont la majorité des membres vivent à South Indian Lake, au Manitoba, a été, par décret ministériel, reconnue par le Canada, à titre de bande au sens de la Loi sur les Indiens, sous le nom de O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation;
