Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes

(a) the Prime Minister or the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Additional Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America for Cooperation in the Examination of Refugee Status Claims from Nationals of Third Countries; or

(b) the Minister of Foreign Affairs to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Sean Fraser, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, or Marco E. L. Mendicino, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, or Catrina Tapley, Deputy Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, or Kirsten Hillman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the United States of America, or Katherine Baird, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Canada to the United States of America, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Additional Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America for Cooperation in the Examination of Refugee Status Claims from Nationals of Third Countries.

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise :

a) soit le premier ministre ou la ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, le Protocole additionnel à l’Accord entre le Gouvernement du Canada et le Gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique pour la coopération en matière d’examen des demandes de statut de réfugié présentées par des ressortissants de pays tiers;

b) soit la ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Sean Fraser, ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration, Marco E. L. Mendicino, ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile, Catrina Tapley, sous-ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration , Kirsten Hillman, ambassadrice extraordinaire et plénipotentiaire du Canada auprès des États-Unis d’Amérique, ou Katherine Baird, chef de mission adjointe, ambassade du Canada aux États-Unis d’Amérique, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, le Protocole additionnel à l’Accord entre le Gouvernement du Canada et le Gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique pour la coopération en matière d’examen des demandes de statut de réfugié présentées par des ressortissants de pays tiers.
