Whereas the Governor in Council is of the opinion that employees or classes of employees will, despite the modification, earn periods of medical leave of absence with pay that are substantially equivalent to the period provided for in subsection 239(1.21) of the Canada Labour Code;
Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour, makes the annexed Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Made Under the Canada Labour Code (Medical Leave with Pay) under paragraphs 203(2)(b), 239(13)(a) and (b) and 264(1)(a) and (i.1) and subparagraph 270(1)(a)(i) of the Canada Labour Code.
Attendu que la gouverneure en conseil estime que des employés ou des catégories d’employés acquerront, malgré l’adaptation, des périodes de congé payé pour raisons médicales qui sont essentiellement équivalentes à celle prévue au paragraphe 239(1.21) du Code canadien du travail,
À ses causes, sur recommandation du ministre du Travail et en vertu des alinéas 203(2)b), 239(13)a) et b) et 264(1)a) et i.1) et du sous-alinéa 270(1)a)(i) du Code canadien du travail, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil prend le Règlement modifiant certains règlements pris en vertu du Code canadien du travail (congé payé pour raisons médicales), ci-après.
